吸血鬼加巫毒，挺新奇的结合。复活Blacula者变成了半个仆人，从另一个角度贴合了原版，交流时他的黑人口语增加了喜剧效果，也终于体现出了时代错位感。大宅的部分则采取了复古的思路，使用古典配乐营造鬼屋式恐怖。这次种族议题的展现更明显，如脸谱化的白人警察和Blacula对皮条客一针见血的形容
